About Jenc Yoga

Jen c Yoga teaches from the belief that yoga is for EVERY BODY.  Her class offerings in the community cover the entire life span from youth to elderly- from elementary schools to college sports teams to elderly living facilities.  She has amassed over a thousand hours of teaching yoga. She has been a yoga practitioner for over 15 years and a yoga teacher for 10.  In addition to her yoga education she holds a psychology degree from Michigan State University and has over 18 years experience as a social worker. She is a 500 level teacher.  Her 200 level yoga education stemmed from the Sivananda lineage, which is lineage based in karma yoga and the concept that yoga is for every body. Her 300 level yoga education included extensive knowledge facilitating trauma informed yoga and therapeutic yoga.  She also has experience in chi gong methods and enjoys integrating them into classes. She teaches from the idea that yoga is a holistic, whole life, practice, that offers space to improve the quality of life.  She offers classes to ALL AGES  from youth to elderly.  She teaches at yoga studios, schools (elementary, high school and college), assisted living facilities, and private sessions.

Yoga Classes Single or Group

Designed for You

Jen C Yoga offers a range of classes to enable the ability to share yoga that is adaptable to the needs of the student. These offerings include private sessions, studio sessions, sessions requests that can be created for a specific group and brought to your agency.  She has experience teaching all ages and various environments from youth, sports teams, corporate offices, education programs, in patient programs, foster group homes, to assisted living facilities. Private Session Option

A private session offers a practice that is designed specifically for you.  It can be normal to feel intimidated to attend a studio class, especially if you are new or are unsure of where to begin your practice.  A private session offers a safe space where you will be guided thru  yogic practices for proper alignment, support, and strengthening the body.    As we practice Jen C will offer more insight into foundations and answer any questions about how to develop your practice. These are offered in a private yoga studio space.

Yoga Brought to your agency

Jenn C Yoga group sessions are uniquely tailored to your organizational needs and your schedule. She can bring these classes to your facility or these can be taught over zoom.  Group Sessions integrate yoga poses (asanas) and breathwork as part of a holistic technique.

Classes are designed with your group in mind. 

Specializations of Group Classes have included:

  • Yoga in the schools (elementary and highschool)

  • Corporate yoga (flows to support a body that does office work)

  • Trauma informed yoga (great for counseling centers, schools, foster care, addiction treatment, shelters, etc) 

  • Yoga for athletes (runners, golfers, football)

  • Yoga for elderly 

  • Yoga basics (great for new yogis or a deeper practice for experienced yogis).

Specialized Workshops in Yoga And Mindfulness for Stress Management

Jen C Yoga offers various workshops throughout the year at various locations. These workshops offer space to delve into yogic practices.  All of these workshops are open to yoga teachers and students.  Yoga Teachers can obtain continued education credits for any of Jen C Yoga Workshops. Feel free to register for an existing workshop or inquire about scheduling a workshop for your site.

4 Week yoga series is a partnership with Saint Johns Public Library and will run in August of 2023.

Trauma Informed Yoga Workshop

This workshop will cover.

- understanding of trauma

- what happens in the body during trauma

- yogic techniques that decrease anxiety

- ways to develop a mindfulness practice  

This workshop is for anyone that is interested in this information.  It has been attended in the past by therapists, teachers, residential staff, and yoga teachers.
